Although Paul is no longer a professional athlete in the traditional sporting sense of the word, as a full-time paid athlete, he still maintains a professional approach to training, rising each and every morning to train before work and on the weekends.

Right now his training programme is focussed on preparing for the World Ice Swimming Championships 2019 will be staged in Murmansk, in Russia, from 14 to 17 March 2019.
